Lynette was born as Aryeh Judah Schoen Nusbacher on the 17th December 1966, in New York, USA, the child of Wayne Maines and his wife Kelly – she has a brother Jonas Maines who is her twin. When it comes to her education, Lynette dedicated her life to academics; after finishing high school, she enrolled at the University of Toronto, where she studied history and economics. Following her graduation, she enrolled at the Royal Military College of Canada, where she earned a masters degree in War Studies.

This isn’t all, as she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Modern History from the University of Oxford. There is more, she was also a student at the National School of Government in Cranfield University, UK, where she has taken short programs on Organizational Leadership.

Lynette’s career started in 1988 when she joined the University of Toronto as an administrator. She served in the position until 1994, when she was hired as a Logistics Officer for the Canadian Armed Forces. She remained there for the next six years when she left the post.
