Who is Sundy Carter?

Sundy Carter was born on 30 March 1972, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, and is an actress as well as a reality television personality, probably best known for her role in “State Property”. Other projects she’s worked on include “Soul Plane” and “Basketball Wives”.

The Net Worth of Sundy Carter

How rich is Sundy Carter? As of late-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is at $150,000, earned largely through her career on television. She has appeared in theatrical works too, and also worked on several charitable efforts throughout her career. As she continues her endeavors, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.

Education and Career Beginnings

While little is known about Sundy’s childhood, she grew up in Philadelphia and discovered her interest in acting there. After matriculating from high school, she then enrolled into Temple University, and became a drama major in hopes of finding a career in the industry. After completing her studies, she took additional lessons from Freedom Theatre.

In 2002, she began her professional career with the film “State Property”, starring Beanie Sigel, Omilio Sparks, and Memphis Bleek with a cameo role from rapper Jay-Z, in a story focusing on the Philadelphia drug trade from the 1980s to the 1990s loosely based on ‘drug lord’ Aaron Jones. Three years later, she reprised her role in the sequel “State Property 2”, which featured other musicians such as Kanye West, Cam’ron, and the Diplomats. The film also marked the final appearance of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who passed away from a drug overdose after filming. Her next project would be the film “Soul Plane”, which although featuring high profile actors such as Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg, received negative reviews and did poorly at the box office.

Continued Acting Work and Transition to Reality Television

Carter also had a minor role in the film “Bringing Down the House” starring Steve Martin, and would then focus on numerous low budget independent films. Her popularity also increased to the point that she was featured in several publications, such as “Style Q” and “Solid Gold” magazine. Other appearances she made include in music videos of artists such as Method Man, Busta Rhymes and Tamar Braxton, some of whom she worked with in films.

She has also done several Lifetime Original movie projects, and appeared in a small role in the horror film “Mother’s Day”, a loose remake of the 1980 film of the same name. During the second season of the reality series “Basketball Wives LA”, she began by appearing as a guest before, before gaining a main role the following season, in a series which The show focuses on the lives of girlfriends or wives, or people who have been romantically linked to professional basketball players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The show is a spin-off from “Basketball Wives”, and with the ending of the original series, “Basketball Wives LA” was retitled to have the same name as the original.

Relationships and Marriages

For her personal life, it is known that Sundy was married to actor Cedric Carter who’s known for his work in the film “Crime Partners”; they had two children together, both of whom are aspiring musicians. One of their children is close friends with actress Zendaya and another is posting actively on YouTube. However, their marriage eventually ended in divorce, and in 2005, she started dating professional basketball player Larry Hughes. Larry was the eighth overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft and played 14 years in the NBA.

However, their relationship proved controversial, as they became romantically involved while he was still married at the time, and they had a child together though it was reported that Hughes did not take responsibility of the child initially. He later changed his ways and declared that the child was indeed his daughter. No new relationships have been reported since the end of theirs, though there was a rumor going around that Sundy was dating Miles Brock, but the rumors were later denied.
